Help for blushing, sweating and panic attacks
Endoscopic sympathetic block (ESB) – the drug free method
Sympathetic block – ESB – is a targeted treatment to control blushing and/or sweating on the face, hands and underarms, developed by Dr Telaranta.
Sympathetic block – ESB – is a targeted treatment to control blushing and/or sweating on the face, hands and underarms. ESB may also alleviate social phobia and common fears such as fear of flying, heights, open spaces, or the darkness. In addition, it can be used to decrease trembling of the body, hands, and voice, even stuttering. It may help in alcoholism or drug withdrawal, because these are often linked with social anxiety. Sympathetic block is a gentle and exact endoscopic procedure. It is performed as day surgery under light anesthesia. Look for technical details about ESB.
By filling in a questionnaire, you will receive an assessment of possible treatment options for you by e-mail, together with an advice on how to proceed. Read more by clicking the links at the top of the page.
I am considering ESB – how to proceed?
Please see the Contact page which explains how to proceed if you are interested in ESB or ETS-reversal.
Information on Sympatix
Sympatix was founded by Dr Telaranta in 1997 following the development of the ESB method to provide a new, gentler method to replace the more destructive Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) method to treat social phobia, blushing and sweating. All ESB procedures perform now Prof. Rantanen who treat patients at Tilkka Pihlajalinna (Pikku Huopalahti) hospital in Helsinki (see Contact page). Prof. Rantanen perform also Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS)-reversals. In the last 10 years, Sympatix surgeons have treated over 2,500 patients using ESB, and performed over 300 ETS-reversal operations with a very high success rate. Please see below more information about Prof. Rantanen.
